INSTITUTE FOR MACHINE TOOLS TECHNOLOGY was set up to a Research & Development Organisation for M/C Tool & other manufacturing sectors with the aim to uplift technological level of small & medium enterprises of the region. Institute was established in year 1994. The inputs were made by Punjab Govt. in the shape of Land, Building, Infrastructure and Indigenous Equipments, UNDP contributed in the shape of Imported Plant Machinery.
